Securities Attorney Alan Rosca Explains Why Don’t More Investors Bring Claims to Recover Investment Losses

Image
"Sometimes investors think their money is gone because of forces outside of their control, and because of nobody’s fault. They just let that money go and they think: "it happened, it’s nobody’s fault, I just lost the money". Investors don’t realize what the rules applicable to the industry are, and how strict those rules are, and how financial industry entities must abide by an extensive body of rules that is designed to protect investors. Oftentimes investors don’t realize they actually have legal redress against somebody for their loss." - attorney Alan Rosca, PIABA Interview To find out more about the practice and admissions of attorney Alan Rosca visit https://investorlawyers.org/our-team/alan-rosca/ Attorney Alan Rosca often writes for various publications across the country on topics from investment fraud to securities regulation. Securities Attorney Alan Rosca Answers How Is An Organization Like PIABA Important In Protecting Investors

Image
"Because there is power in numbers. Because we are dealing with large entities on the other side, Wall Street type of companies, who pay millions or tens of millions of dollars to their lobbyists. The average investor doesn’t have lobbyists, and can not afford lobbyists. We like to think of ourselves as their unpaid lobbyists. Once a year that’s what we do: we go to Washington and we lobby for investors. We volunteer our time to talk to Congress and try to explain to them various issues that are important to protect investors. We know that Wall Street does it every day. They have a lot more resources to pay their lobbyists, and that’s how we level the playing field, through this organization called PIABA." - attorney Alan Rosca, PIABA Interview To find out more about the practice and admissions of attorney Alan Rosca visit https://investorlawyers.org/our-team/alan-rosca/ Attorney Alan Rosca often writes for various publications across the country on topics from investment f...

Alan Rosca, A Securities Attorney and Investor Advocate, Explains When FINRA Is The Right Forum for Investment Disputes

Image
"Sometimes it is, and sometimes maybe less so. The problem with FINRA arbitration is that for some types of cases FINRA arbitration is great, and for other types of cases FINRA arbitration is just not the right forum. It depends on whether a case is larger or smaller, or more complex, or simpler. For a simple case, where the facts are clear, I like FINRA arbitration because I am able to finish a case fairly quickly and at low cost, and that means, hopefully, money in the investors’ pocket sooner with fewer expenses. On the other hand, for a more complex case, where a lot more discovery or evidence needs to be fleshed out, before we can get to trial, FINRA arbitration is just not the proper place to resolve disputes. It is not a one size fits all solution: for some cases FINRA is great, but other cases should not be before FINRA arbitration." - Attorney Alan Rosca, PIABA Interview To find out more about the practice and admissions of Alan Rosca visit https://investorlawyers....

Securities and Investor Rights Attorney Alan Rosca Explains Where to File An Investment Dispute

Image
It depends. It depends on who the dispute is against. It depends on what type of agreements the investor signed with the entities that they are suing. Some disputes might have to be resolved in arbitration, before an entity called FINRA, which stands for Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Other disputes might be resolved in state court or federal court. Securities Lawyer Alan Rosca Answers Why He Represents Investors in FINRA Arbitrations

“Because you make a difference in their lives. I deal with folks who some of them lose everything they have, their life savings, and when they call me they are down to their social security pension, or nothing. Getting back some money for them, and listening to them telling what difference that money made for them is something that is very meaningful to me.” - Attorney Rosca during PIABA Interview.
