Securities Attorney Alan Rosca Answers How Is An Organization Like PIABA Important In Protecting Investors

"Because there is power in numbers. Because we are dealing with large entities on the other side, Wall Street type of companies, who pay millions or tens of millions of dollars to their lobbyists. The average investor doesn’t have lobbyists, and can not afford lobbyists. We like to think of ourselves as their unpaid lobbyists. Once a year that’s what we do: we go to Washington and we lobby for investors. We volunteer our time to talk to Congress and try to explain to them various issues that are important to protect investors. We know that Wall Street does it every day. They have a lot more resources to pay their lobbyists, and that’s how we level the playing field, through this organization called PIABA." - attorney Alan Rosca, PIABA Interview
